Program Offerings and Expectations

The Women for STEM Entrance Scholarship is valued at $5,000 for the first year and is renewable at $2,000 for each of the following three academic years. To be eligible for renewal, recipients must:

• Be registered in a minimum 80 per cent course load in the fall and winter terms in an eligible STEM program.
• Maintain a grade point average of 2.0 in the previous academic year.

The Women for STEM Program provides a rich array of workshops and events designed to support academic and professional growth. During the second and third years, in both group and 1:1 settings, students will enjoy exclusive access to industry mentors who will assist in developing essential skills, exploring potential career paths, and setting actionable goals. Annually, Women for STEM program students will participate in events requiring a total of 8 to 10 hours.

Being celebrated boosts confidence and motivation while recognizing achievements and inspiring peers in STEM. Women for STEM students in all years will attend the annual Women for STEM Celebration Reception which brings together industry, community and university leaders, students and alumni for an evening of networking, fundraising and celebration.
