Eligibility
Our on-campus employment program is designed to help full-time undergraduate students gain useful career-related experiences. We're here to help you achieve both your personal and professional goals, with a focus on growing your résumé.
The program is designed to help domestic students who are experiencing financial difficulties. To be eligible, you must:
- Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident
- Be registered in full-time undergraduate studies in the current academic year (September to April)
- Note: If you're registered with Student Accessibility Services, you must have at least a 40 per cent course load which is two classes per semester
- Be returning to full-time studies in the fall semester, if following the summer employment term
- Demonstrate financial need
- Have a 2.0 GPA or higher from your last full-time semester of study
Please note that the following are not eligible for the UW program:
- Professional or graduate level programs
- Co-op working term or internship programs

- Be able to obtain a Social Insurance Number
- Contact your International Student Advisor to find out how to apply
- Be registered in full-time undergraduate studies in the current academic year (September to April)

- Be returning to full-time studies in the fall semester, if following the summer employment term
- Demonstrate financial need
- Have a 2.0 GPA or higher from your last full-time semester of study

The international University Works program is highly competitive, with a high number of applicants and a limited number of positions available. Therefore, acceptance into the program is not guaranteed. In the event that the maximum number of applicants has been reached, the application may close prior to the deadline.
