International work
Part-time academic year employment
The International University Works program is designed to help full-time students who are anticipating or experiencing financial difficulties by providing them with part-time employment on campus. The university provides the funding for the program, which runs from September to April. Each job offers a maximum of 10 hours per week and pays a competitive wage.
Eligibility
To be eligible for the International University Works program, you must meet the following requirements:
- Demonstrate a financial need.
- Be a returning full-time undergraduate student.
- Have a full-time GPA of 2.0 in your previous term.
- Be enrolled in a minimum 60
per cent of a full-time course load. - Be able to obtain a Social Insurance Number—contact your international advisor to find out how to apply.

Full-time summer employment
The International Summer University Works program provides a limited number of full-time summer job opportunities for returning students during the summer months. Each job offers a maximum of 35 hours per week. The program runs from May to August.
Eligibility
To be eligible for the Summer University Works program, you must meet the following requirements:
- Demonstrate a financial need.
- Be a returning full-time undergraduate student.
- Have a GPA of 2.0 or higher in their last full-time term.
- Be able to obtain a Social Insurance Number—contact your international advisor to find out how to apply.
- Be planning to return to full-time studies in the fall term following the summer employment term.
If you are interested in the Summer University Works program, you cannot be registered in more than one course during the May to August employment term.
